Thank you for your interest in mccPILOTLOG – Version 4.0 (BETA).

Today, over 25,000 crew members use  mccPILOTLOG  /  mccROSTER  software. On request of many pilots using Mac OS at home, we decided to develop a cross-platform application.

This new cross-platform application is developed under Microsoft, but it runs fine on Mac OS without any virtual Windows platform ! This application may not have the ‘look-and-feel’ you would expect from native Mac software. However,  mccPILOTLOG  is the only electronic pilot logbook offering you the freedom of combining any desktop platform (MS Windows, Mac OS) with any mobile system (iOS, Android, Blackberry, WinPhone, Kindle) !

This software is currently available as Version 4.0 (BETA).

BETA Release

mccPILOTLOG  for PC / Mac is released under BETA.  Except for the airline interface, Version 4.0 is fully operational and used by many pilots.  The application remains under BETA until all 250 airlines are added.  Currently (Octobre 2015) we connect to 160 airlines so far.

Meanwhile we iron out some bugs and we improve the overall stability and performance.

We plan to remove the BETA label by the end of 2015.  Early 2016, all existing users on Windows (currently using version 3.6) will be transferred to Version 4.0 for PC / Mac.

 

How to Install BETA Version 4.0

 

MS Windows

Version 4.0 does no longer support Windows XP. You need Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10.

1) Download the Windows BETA Installer package for MS Windows. After download, unzip the package and run the installer.

2) Convert the database (guidelines are listed below)

 

Apple Mac OS

1) You must first download and install the MONO run-time platform (Version 3). Download the MONO Installer .

2) You must also install Xquartz for Mac OS .

3) Download the Mac OS Installer package for Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks) or later. After download, unzip the package and run the installer.

4) Convert the database (guidelines are listed below)

 

Make sure to install the latest update : After installation, start the application and go to the Tools – Software Update page and install the latest update !! You should have version EXE420 or above !

 

How to Convert the Database from Version 3.6 to Version 4.0

 

Version 3.6 and Version 4.0 are not compatible with eachother.  The database must be converted !
